Christopher W. Holt, 46, of Terryville, beloved husband of Tanya Smith, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday April 18, 2025. He was born in Middletown, son of Gary Holt and Pamela Murphy.

Chris is survived by his parents, his sister Kimberly Ryan, his wife, and their three children, Zachary, Layne, and North.  He has a large extended family including many nieces and nephews and misfits he adopted along the way.

Christopher's' biggest joy was spending time with his three children. He spent years volunteering as Cub Scout Master to Pack 80 in Taftville and on the board of the Terryville Plymouth Little League. He spent his career in the restaurant industry throughout Connecticut from Chef to General Manager.  At any BBQ or party you could find him manning the grill so he could make sure his steak was cooked right.

He was best known for his never-ending ability to find the humor in life during the best and the worst of times. Sports was a life-long passion of his starting from his early days playing for Middletown teams. He was a die-hard fan of the New York Mets and the San Francisco 49's, for better or worse. He spent his free time outdoors; camping, golfing, and fishing. Chris was a simple man. To be happy all he needed was his family, good friends, great rock music and he could turn it into a party full of laughter.

He left an impression on anyone he met, and he will be greatly missed.
