Christine Pape, 78, of East Hampton, formerly of Cromwell, wife of the late William T. Pape, passed away on Thursday August 29, 2024 at her home with her children by her side.

She was born in Middletown, daughter of the late Helen Jane McDowell. Christine worked for many local companies, including SNET, Yankee Gas and CL& P over the span of her working years where she was known for her excellence in Customer Service.

Christine is survived by her children, Catherine Jensen (Paul) of East Hampton, son Frederick West of Hebron, grandchildren Max, Freddy, Grace and Leona as well as her numerous close McDowell cousins. She was predeceased by her husband William and her son, Edward West.

She was heavily involved with PTO while her children were in Grade School. She was a Den Leader for Cub Scouts and was always a part of her children's school activities. Her favorite job was being a grandmother. She will be very missed, and her absence will always be felt.

Funeral services will be held on Monday September 9th at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, 381 Main St., Middletown. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
