Christine (Rekus) Negrelli, 78, of Madison, wife of William Negrelli, died Friday September 20, 2024 at Middlesex Hospital.

She was born in Hartford on April 18, 1946 to the late Alfred W. and Helen C. (Blaskowitz) Rekus.  Chris was a much loved teacher for over 30 years. She impacted many lives  with her joyful personality, generosity, and sense of humor.  As a Reading Recovery teacher leader, she trained many teachers throughout the state and was held in high regard by all the teachers she worked with.  In the classroom her love of reading, writing and her students touched numerous families through the years.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years and two sons, Daniel A. Negrelli of King of Prussia, PA and David W. Negrelli of Madison, CT ; and two grandchildren, Logan and Olivia Negrelli.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 25 at 6:30 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown.  Burial will be at the convenience of her family.  Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 25 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. prior to the service.  Those who wish may send memorial contributions to Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center, 28 Crescent Street, Middletown, CT. 06457.
