Christine Dolores (Moosett) Laptik, 85, of Middlefield, CT and Boynton Beach, FL, and more recently of Farmington, CT passed away peacefully at UConn John Dempsey Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 19, 1940, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Sophie (Dziok) Moosett.
Christine is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Robert ("Bob") Laptik, and her beloved daughters, Wendy Laptik of Middlefield CT, and Lori O'Brien of Unionville, CT along with three grandchildren, Shannon and Sean O'Brien and Amber Laptik.
Christine was a strong, determined woman whose drive and love of learning shaped every chapter of her life. After graduating from Bryant College in Providence, RI she began her work career at Apex Tire & Rubber Company in Pawtucket, RI. Christine later returned to Bryant to get her degree in Business and embarked on a career in teaching before going onto a long and successful professional career with the State of Connecticut. Starting as a secretary, she quickly advanced to become a state purchasing officer retiring after 20 years of dedicated service.
Christine found much happiness and joy traveling and cruising the world with her husband and best friend, Bob. Together, they shared countless adventures, exploring new places, meeting new people, and creating memories that will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved them.
Funeral services will be Tuesday (Nov. 25th) at 11:30 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Burial will be held at the State Veterans' Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:30, prior to the services.
Christine will be remembered for her strength, her curiosity, her boundless spirit, and the deep love she had for her family and for life itself.
