Christine (Stengel) Aforismo, 71, of Middletown, beloved wife of the late Glen Aforismo, peacefully passed away on July 6, 2026, at Hartford Hospital. Born in Middletown on June 7, 1955, she was the cherished daughter of the late John and Helen (Brunner) Stengel.

A devoted and loving mother, Christine is survived by her sons, Frank Aforismo and his wife Rebecca of North Branford, and John Aforismo of Middletown. She leaves behind her adoring grandchildren, Genevieve, Anthony, and Cecilia, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her brother, John Stengel and his wife Debbie of Durham, as well as many dear cousins, nieces, and nephews. Christine was predeceased by her beloved sister, Barbara Quinley of Durham.

Christine will be fondly remembered for her warmth, her gentle and thoughtful spirit, and her deep love of nature. Her steadfast presence brought comfort to the lives of all who knew and loved her. Her wonderful cooking will be deeply missed by everyone who shared a meal at her table.
