Carolyn Jagoda, 73, of Middletown, formerly of Rockfall, passed away suddenly on the morning of Tuesday December 24, 2024 at Hartford Hospital.  She was born in New Britain, daughter of the late Raymond and Helen (Golon) Jagoda. Carolyn is survived by her daughter Sarah Barry of Middletown, granddaughter Sage Barry of Middletown, and her best friend Gary Dewey of Southington.

Carolyn, better known as Gramma, retired from Middlesex Hospital Homecare. She enjoyed spending her retirement going on walks to feed the ducks, listening to music, and eating Brigham's ice cream. She went to live shows, plays, and concerts. She celebrated every Groundhog Day with cookies and surprises. She would spend hours feeding the squirrels and chipmunks, often sharing videos of their antics. She fondly remembered summers on Block Island and her childhood spent at the cabin in Vermont. She loved sharing her wisdom with stories and laughter.

She devoted her life to raising her daughter and granddaughter.  She attended every school and life event with pride and love. They didn't want or need for anything with Gramma. If there was a way, she would make it happen.

Carolyn's funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 31 at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown. Visitation will be from 10am to 11am, with a short service at 11am. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Gramma was known for her love of comfy clothes and plaid flannels.  Please consider wearing plaid or flannel to the ceremony.
