Carmen Delia (Ortega) Torres a long-term resident of Middletown, CT and beloved wife of Luis M. Torres, passed after a brief illness on October 30th, 2023, at Hartford Hospital.

Besides her husband, Carmen is survived by her son, Justin L. Torres, her mother, Narcisa Burgos, three sisters, Ana Ortega, Marisol Ortega, and Rosa Shea, as well as her brother Daniel Ortega and an abundance of nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father Genaro Ortega and her brother Genaro Ortega Jr.

Carmen was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and has worked for the Marshalls stores for over 18 years. She was a devoted mother and loving wife with a big and beautiful heart. Carmen enjoyed reading books, arts and crafts, baking, sewing, and most importantly working in her garden always planting an abundance of flowers.
