Carmel Mary Dills, 98, of Durham, wife of the late Woodrow E. Dills Sr., died Thursday February 6, 2025, at MidState Medical Center. She was born in Meriden May 21, 1926, daughter of the late Salvatore and Grace (Torricelli/DeMaria) Barillaro.
Carmel is survived by her children, Philip and wife Jessica (Marasco) Dills, Woodrow Jr. and wife Louise (Lamontagne) Dills, Richard Dills, Dennis Dills (fiance' Wendy Quaranta), Carol (Dills) and husband Wayne Dudley, Dianna Dills, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Woodrow Dills, children, Philip Wayne Dills, Charlotte Dills and Linda Jandreau, Granddaughter Roberta-Joe (Dills) Meeks. Brothers Tranquil Barillaro, Benny Barillaro,Frankie Barillaro,Johnny Barillaro and sisters Rose (Barillaro) Mule,Jenny (Barillaro.) Rosanski,
Lilly (Barillaro) Sylvester,Virgina (Barillaro) Smedburg, Theresa Barillaro .
Carmel enjoyed helping her children raise their children. She loved her many trips to Atlantic City with daughter Linda and daughter-in-law Louise.

The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, February 17th, at 10:30 a.m. at Notre Dame Church, Durham. Burial will follow at Mica Hill Cemetery.
