Barbara A. Hunt, 91, of Middletown, beloved wife of 63 years to Wiliam E. Hunt, passed away on Thursday February 6, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born September 22, 1933 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, daughter of Helen "Nellie)" Jarzabek-Bula. Barbara was employed by the Middletown Board of Ed for 29 years, retiring in 1999 to enjoy life to it fullest with her husband and family. Barbara cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook, sing on the St. Mary Choir, play golf, travel with her husband and dance to all kinds of music, especially polkas. Barbara touched many lives and had made many wonderful friendships over the years including her "circle of friends" from school. She bowled for the Middlesex County Girls League, was an active member of the St. Mary Ladies Guild and the Catholic War Vets Auxiliary.

Barbara is survived by her husband William, loved and cherished children, Pamela Bartolotta, Jeffrey Hunt and his wife Cherylann, Douglas Hunt; brother, Richard Bula; grandchildren, Jeremy, Christopher, Kevin and Nicole, Sean, Carly, Jimmy and Amanda; and three great grandchildren, Jack, Maggie and Alfie.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (Feb. 14th) at 1 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown.  Burial will be at a later date.  Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home on Friday from 12 to 1 p.m. prior to the service.  Those who wish may send memorial contributions to Middlesex Health, c/o Dept. of Philanthropy, 28 Crescent St., Middletown, CT 06457.
