Arlene Frances Nichols, 81, of Barkhamsted, CT, passed away on Wednesday November 6, 2024, at her home. She was born in New London, daughter of the late William and Pauline (Golembewski) Nichols.

Prior to her retirement, Arlene was employed at the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation as a receptionist.  She was dedicated to her state and country and would often express how blessed she was to live here.  She was a devote catholic, who was dedicated to supporting many Catholic Missions.  She will be dearly missed by her family who loved her deeply.

Arlene is survived by her sons, Thomas Rascati and his wife Kim of Barkhamsted, Michael Rascati and his wife Debbie of Portland, brother, Robert Allen Nichols of Hartford, four grandchildren, Michelle Lynn Rascati, Michael F. Rascati, Jr., Anthony Rascati and   Dominic Rascati, and three great grandchildren, Wesley, Skyla and Kamryn, and a sister-in-law, RoseMarie.  She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Nichols.

Her Funeral Liturgy will be held on Tuesday November 12th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 10 Elm Street, Middletown. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.  To share memories or express condolences online please visit www.biegafuneralhome.com.
