Arlene Katherine (Riebold) Alger, 71, of Haddam, CT, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, at the Connecticut Hospice Center in Branford, after a brief battle with cancer.

A lifelong resident of the Haddam and Higganum area, Arlene graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Middletown, CT, Class of 1971. She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Wilma Riebold.

She is survived by her son Ronald T. Alger Jr., her daughter-in-law Dawn Alger, and her granddaughter Emily K. Alger. She also leaves behind her brothers; Frederick Riebold, William Riebold and his wife Pat, Richard Riebold; and sister Rhonda Boisvert and her husband Bill, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to gather and pay their respects on Thursday, June 12, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown.
