Anna (Battaglia) Casey, 95, of Middletown passed away peacefully on November 25, 2023.  She was wife of the late Alfred Casey.  She was born in New London, the daughter of the late Lucy and Dominic Battaglia.

Anna is survived by her daughter Barbara Puorro, her grandchildren Derek Puorro, his wife Kerstin Puorro and Brandon Puorro, his wife Kelly Puorro her great grandchildren Daniel Puorro, Ella Puorro, Jake Puorro, Kayla Puorro and Alexa Puorro as well as her grandchildren Mathew Schaefer, Benjamin Schaefer and William Schaefer the children of son Marc Schaefer who passed away in 2019.

Anna graduated from The Williams School in New London.  She spent her later years in Waterford.  In retirement she enjoyed her early morning swim with friends at the high school pool, gardening sharing those results with neighbors. She was an accomplished artist, avid reader and lifelong learner.  She was an early adapter of the computer and taught herself to program DOS. She was a keen observer of life and left a mark on all of those she met.

Anna's family would like to thank Apple Rehab for the compassion and care shown to Anna during her residence.

Funeral services are private and burial will be at the convenience of her family. There are no calling hours.
