Edward Kapinos, 88, of Middletown, husband of the late Sophie (Bruderek) Kapinos, died Tuesday April 17, 2012 at his home.

He was born in Middletown, son of the late Stanley and Steffie (Zawisza) Kapinos. Prior to retirement he was employed with the Middletown School System. He was a lifetime parishioner of St. Mary Church, and member of the St. Mary’s Senior Club and the Polish Knights.

Edward is survived by his son, Joseph Kapinos, his daughter, Deborah Veronneau and her husband John, his sister, Mary Stachura, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Stella Miazga.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:15 a.m. from Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown, followed by an 11 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home.
