Ryan William Kachinsky, 21, of Middletown, died Thursday April 12, 2012 at Middlesex Hospital.

     The son of Beth (Sima) and Henry Vogel of Higganum and William Kachinsky and Lisa Young of East Lyme. Although a 2008 graduate of Old Saybrook High School he attended Haddam Killingworth for the majority of his high school years. Ryan was currently apprenticing under the loving direction of Cindi and Ginny at the Wild Orchid in Middletown.

     Besides his parents, he is survived by a brother, Joseph Vogel of Higganum; maternal grandparents, Charles and Sharon Sima of New Mexico and maternal great-grandmother, Mary Suchanek; a sister, Taylor Margaret Kachinsky and stepsisters, Kaitlyn and Emily Young; as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, William and Margaret Kachinsky.

     Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home, Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. prior to the service.
